Bookmarked: Hyperlocal social network sites

Several social network sites have been launched that aim to be a more ‘localised’ versions of Facebook – i.e. they want to bring people together from one particular neighbourhood or area to chat, find out what’s happening locally, and to get organised.

Blog HU12 has been having a look at these and focusses on www.streetlife.com, www.localpeople.co.uk, and the Guardian’s N0tice platform.

Follow this link to see their post.

And which one do I like best? I think all of them have some way to go before they’ve really cemented their place in the online scene. I do like the local feel of Streetlife and N0tice has potential but clearly needs more users. What do you think?
