About John Baron

I hope anyone interested in the changing media landscape, hyperlocal and journalism will find this blog of interest.

My name is John Baron and I’ve been a journalist since 1994, when I started out as a trainee reporter at the free Leeds Weekly News. I moved onto paid-for titles in Wharfedale and Wakefield on the print production and web side before joining the Guardian as a beatblogger for its experimental and collaborative Local project. Here’s my Guardian profile. And my details on Journalisted.

I have also contributed to The Leeds Guardian, South Leeds Life and The City Talking and occasionally the Guardian Northerner blog.

Check out my personal website for more about me.
